Marco Caratelli carries out his art works following the best pictoral traditions: colours "in pigments" he uses are absolutely naatural and they are unassailable in the march of time. He doesen't use chemist or synthetic materials but yolk to get finally to a completely natural manufactured which preserves the original features in gap of years.
The panoplies, the nimbuses and the other decorations in the gold plating share are created thanks to the "bulini" or "punzoni" which are little steel sticks with a small handmade image on the tip.
This image is imprinted on the side which needs to be decorated.

The gold plates are made by thin golden leaves 24k, which don't tarnish as the common "orone" does.
These leaves are attached through the gilder technical over a "bolo americano" coating, which is applied on a plaster deep piling.
The painted tables are very refined and the woods has to be much sought with distinctive features. It's necessary the wood to be very well aged, more then 30 years aged to have a good effect.
It has to be poplar, oak chestnut, nut tree but never a fir tree, since it would create clouds which are impossible to remove.
